KANE AND LYNCH 2 DOG DAYS BUTTOCKS FULL
I find it hard to recommend the game in a traditional sense without sounding too pretentious, because you have to go into it relatively blind to get the full experience. About halfway through the game there's a part where you accidentally blow up a fuel store and the camera video+audio distorts to 2005 cell phone levels of quality, which may sound annoying on the surface but it's pretty cool in practice. The camera distorts and buffers as you play, video artifacts appear often, audio cuts in and out and distorts itself during explosions as if it's at a low bitrate, blood splatters on the screen often. It was compared to finding a VHS snuff film at the time, leading up to release it's tagline was "Real ain't pretty" often accompanied by a character's dead/mutilated body, or a candid photo of Lynch eating noodles in his underwear.
Get ready to switch up your guns often, because you have very limited ammo for your guns, and even less for the more powerful ones.Ī third-person steadicam camera is used throughout the game, and with the options turned on it gives off a feeling that you're watching f'ed up found footage video off of Liveleak or Faces of Death. You're always outnumbered and outgunned in the worst possible positions. Enemies will get the drop on you quite often, and will rush you given the chance. Your weapons are often extremely inaccurate, you can be downed in a few hits even on the easier difficulties. Every level gets worse and worse, starting with a seemingly inconsequential suicide/death, to a brutal audio recording of torture and rape on a loading screen followed by a level of the two men running bloody and naked (with pixelated filters over their genitalia) through downtown streets chased by an elite private SWAT team.
KANE AND LYNCH 2 DOG DAYS BUTTOCKS FREE
Almost immediately after starting the game you're handed a gun and from then on everything that ensues is a free fall of violence, torture, and both the protagonists being put into the worst situations possible.Īside from killing the one boss towards the end as an act of revenge and getting to play a nice Time Crisis style on-rails helicopter LMG shootout, nothing good or positive happens the entire game.
He meets with Lynch, who had been living in Shanghai with his girlfriend for a few years and has also been heavily medicated with antipsychotics, to pass off some documents and meet with an associate. It's a typical "one last job gone wrong" story, with Kane looking to do a quick job for cash before retiring from a life of crime. You can play solo as Lynch and coop with a friend as Kane as well. K&L2 came out quite a while ago, after a fairly decent ad campaign involving some brutal realistic magazine ads, coverage by the media for it's portrayal of violence, and it's use of a steadicam style third person view for the entire game.
